Caldwell 20/20 - A Foundation for the Future - Caldwell County, North Carolina

Quality of Life

Caldwell offers a uniquely beautiful, active and peaceful quality of life. Few places in any American communities offer the diverse topography of mountains, streams, lakes and valleys and the priceless vistas that go with them. The variety of natural, outdoor recreational opportunities available to the public are many and the appeal is equal to young and old. Retirees and vacation homeowners are increasingly attracted to Caldwell. The immediate availability of high quality healthcare with particular attention to advanced specialties for heart, cancer and age related needs adds to the attraction for all population groups. Protecting and sharing that rare quality of life while growing it is a long term challenge.

Vision: Caldwell County will be a place where more individuals and families want to live, work, visit and retire.
Objective 17: Enhance the tools available to encourage downtown revitalization in Granite Falls, Hudson and Lenoir.

Objective 19: Capitalize on Caldwell County’s array of arts and culture amenities.
Objective 20: Ensure that Caldwell County is a healthy, well maintained and safe community.
